Interleukin-8 (IL-8)

Interleukin-8 is a proinflammatory cytokine. It is increased in diseases such as some cancers and Lyme disease, among others.

It has been shown in animal experiments to be inhibited by stimulation of the vagus nerve or administration of an acetylcholine agonist.
