Interleukin-6 (IL-6)

Interleukin-6 is a proinflammatory cytokine that is increased in Lyme disease and other conditions such as autoimmune diseases and cancer.

It has been shown in animal experiments to be inhibited by stimulation of the vagus nerve or administration of an acetylcholine agonist.
