Ozone and the Fetus

December 30, 2014

Many Lyme patients use ozone therapy in attempt to treat their Lyme disease. Although this is commonly done, there are no randomized, double-blinded studies that support the use of ozone in Lyme disease and coinfections. There are risks of using ozone to the patient. These risks also occur in pregnancy to the unborn child. Some experts feel that prenatal exposure to high levels of ozone can lead to permanent pathological changes in the baby’s cerebellum.
