WNBA Rookie of the Year basketball player Elena Delle Donne has left the Chicago Sky team to seek treatment for a reoccurence of Lyme disease that has plagued her for several years.

Delle Donne first suffered symptoms during her college playing career and was forced to take time off from the sport on three previous occasions. She has reportedly returned to her home state of Delaware.
