Lion’s Mane

December 16, 2019

Lion’s mane (Hericium erinaceus) is a type of mushroom used by some clinicians that they maintain will aid in neural protection and regeneration in the brain. It is possibly contraindicated in people who have had previous brain or nervous tissue tumors, including gliomas, Schwannomas, and meningiomas.

As with all mushrooms used in supplement form, it has multiple effects on the immune system and should never be used unless under the direction of a physician expert in the use of this product. Experts state that particular care must be used in patients with autoimmune diseases and patients who have received organ or tissue transplants.
