Interleukin-12 (IL-12)

July 5, 2022

Interleukin-12 (IL-12) is a pro-inflammatory cytokine.

It has been shown to be increased in patients with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

It is also increased in patients with Tourette’s Syndrome, particularly corresponding to an exacerbation in symptoms. It seems to have some correlation with Tourette’s Syndrome patients that have obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) symptoms, along with IL-2.

Herbs that decrease IL-12

Chinese skullcap (Scutelleria baicalensis)
