Bug Be Wear is an online site used by some Lyme patients and their families that sells insect repellant clothing. The vendor claims that their permethrin-bonded clothes will retain the ability to repel chiggers,ticks, mosquitoes, and biting no-see-ums for up to 70 machine washings.
They also state in their literature that the jeans, tees, socks, and sweatshirts are odorless and is yard-friendly
Most experienced clinicians recommend that permethrin-bonded clothing be kept away from direct skin contact and care be taken with use in small children due to the concern that some off gassing does occur with this type of clothing that can lodge in nervous and other tissues in the body.
